Our Story
In 1970, four friends -- Elmer, Marvin, John, and Don -- created a contract manufacturing business, initially fabricating metal parts for a Colorado Springs-based computer peripherals company.
EMJD (named after the four founders) has called Englewood, Colorado its home for our entire 53-year history.
Over the last five decades, our technical and manufacturing capacity has continued to grow to meet the needs of our customers. Today we employ the highest levels of precision sheet metal fabrication machinery and technology to ensure our products meet the demands of our customers. From airplanes to medical offices and from the outdoor industry to the energy sector, we've helped companies across the spectrum to make exceptional products.

Meet The Team
Luke Galli
President & General Manager
Prior to leading EMJD, Luke Galli served in executive roles at Wells Fargo Bank and Deloitte Consulting. Prior to corporate life, Luke served as a high school physics teacher. Luke and his wife, Jenna, love parenting their three kids. In his free time, you can find Luke chasing trout with his fly rod or on the ski slopes.
John Underhill
Foreman
John Underhill has managed the EMJD manufacturing floor for the last two decades. John has installed and maintained nearly every machine on the floor and rarely encounters a problem he cannot fix. John loves chasing his grandkids and cruising Colorado on his Harley.
Chris Horst
Vice President
Chris Horst joined the EMJD team in 2023 after 17 years serving at a global nonprofit. He manages EMJD's sales and marketing efforts. Chris and his wife have four young kids and he loves coaching their sports teams and working in the yard.
Jeff Madsen
Operations Director
Jeff Madsen has served in leadership roles at EMJD for over 30 years. He employs his engineering and manufacturing experience to help our customers and staff to solve complicated problems. Jeff and his wife, Keri, love to spend time with their kids and on the lake.
Robbin Ward
Shipping Manager
Robbin Ward makes sure EMJD's customers get their products delivered on-time and ensures their packages are assembled safely. He has managed shipping at EMJD for eight years. Robbin and his wife love to travel.
